Abstract

The Information Systems Study Program at Muria Kudus University has a Field Work Practice (PKL) course which is carried out in semester 6 which must be taken before taking the Thesis course. In its implementation, there are several problems that arise, starting from the registration process to the report seminar which is still done manually so that the supervisor and PKL coordinator cannot monitor the PKL process. The supervisor cannot find out the history of previous guidance as a consideration for further guidance. In the process of working on the PKL report, there is also no information on the deadline for completion, if the student has exceeded the deadline, they must repeat the PKL course so that it has an impact on the delay in taking the Thesis. This study aims to produce a Web-Based Field Work Practice (PKL) Monitoring Portal that can monitor the process of working on the PKL report. This study uses a development approach method known as the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) model or the Waterfall method. The results of the analysis will be described with the UML (Unified Modeling Language) model and then will be implemented in a Web-based application using the PHP programming language and MySQL database.
